Founder & Managing Partner
Eric Calderone is an experienced cybersecurity governance and enterprise risk leader who helps organizations transform complex security, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear priorities, accountable ownership, and sustainable business practices.
Throughout his career, Eric has built and matured governance, risk, and compliance capabilities spanning enterprise risk management, policy and control governance, third-party risk, audit readiness, AI and data governance, security awareness, and operational resilience. His experience includes establishing enterprise GRC operating models, developing executive and Audit Committee reporting, leading cross-functional governance initiatives, and strengthening organizational decision-making through practical, risk-informed guidance.
Eric has also founded and developed cybersecurity compliance consulting capabilities focused on NIST CSF, CMMC, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR, and broader security-program maturity. He works with executives, technology leaders, compliance teams, and operational stakeholders to clarify responsibilities, identify meaningful risk, prioritize remediation, and create programs that remain effective after an advisory engagement concludes.

505th Parachute Infantry Regiment
The name 505 Advisory Partners reflects Eric's service as an Army paratrooper with the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. The principles shaped through that experience—readiness, accountability, courage, and decisive action—continue to influence his leadership and advisory approach. Eric believes strong governance should enable better decisions and greater resilience, not create unnecessary bureaucracy.
